The odds are that some of the items that you will need during your vacation cost more at the destination than they do at your local store, this is especially true when buying items at the airport or in the hotel gift shop. There are a number of items you can purchase ahead of time before you leave that could save you money including pain relievers, sunscreen, sunglasses, lotion, and other toiletries. If you have the room available in your luggage, purchasing snack food items like fruit snacks or a box of crackers ahead of time can also save some money.
