Renting a car is a great way to make your vacation more enjoyable as it gives you a certain amount of freedom to come and go as you please. Every time you rent a car you will be offered rental insurance and many times it may be a good idea to purchase it. However, there are a number of policies that you may already have purchased through your insurance agent at home that may completely or partially cover you while driving a rental car. The best idea is to check with your insurance agent before you rent a car or go on vacation to see what you are already covered for so you don’t duplicate coverage and waste money by purchasing an unneeded policy.
