While there are seemingly endless options for entertainment and relaxation at the resort you have chosen to spend your vacation at, don’t stay inside its walls for your entire trip. Often some of the best experiences had during a vacation are found some distance away from the hotel or resort. Many times the eating establishments that are away from the more tourist filled areas are of a more authentic quality too. So don’t be afraid to trek off to see a fabulous waterfall, visit an open air marketplace, see a rural community, visit a national park, go to a far off museum or art gallery, and more… the swimming pool will still be there when you get back.
